To save money while the new business was growing, Mr. Cataldo said, Mr. Morrell ordered him to cook the nonkosher food in the kosher kitchens of three synagogues: the Woodbury Jewish Center, Temple Beth Torah in Melville and Temple Israel in Lawrence.
